For over a decade KEI was one of the largest suppliers of cables to department of Telecommunication, Government of India. In the beginning of 80's KEI was able to foresee emerging business opportunities for supply of it's products, in the field of Petrochemical, Refineries, Power Generation Projects, Electrical substation, Transmission Projects, Fertilizer Plants, and other Industrial Projects and upgraded it's product range to serve future demands. This foresight enabled the company to establish its position as a front runner in the core sector projects. Today KEI is one of the preferred brands of leading business houses, including Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) one of the fortune 500 companies.
