Nowadays the wire/cable industry is increasingly using multiwire
drawing machines with lots of diamond/PCD drawing dies in use, which former or
later get worn and – because of their considerable value – need to be
reconditioned.
This often causes considerable bottlenecks
in existing die-workshops, as there are either simply not enough human experts
or only insufficient equipment potential available, sometimes even both.
EDER-Austria have therefore
designed this sophisticated but easy to operate high efficiency Ultrasonic
machine to make the best use of increasingly less available human expert skills
in die tool processing and due to its universal application, oustanding capacity and extented workrange, the USP-TWIN
now is offering up to double efficiency !
This advanced EDER-conception, presented at WIRE 06 in Duesseldorf, can be controlled by one single operator only
and can handle both small and medium to large die bore sizes simultaneously. It offers two independent semi-automatic
ultrasonic workstations, one for handling the smaller die
bore-sizes
( 0.05 - 3.0 mm Ø / .002”-.12” = UF) and another one for same time dealing
with the medium to large size range (1.0 – 8.0 mm Ø / .040”-.315” = F),
releasing the die-workshop personnel considerably. Other arrangements are possible too.
