Howar Equipment has added a new modular flyer pay-off system to its
range of standard products of pay-off and tension control equipment.
In addition to careful consideration for precise and easily adjustable
tension control, the new pay-off module is especially noteworthy for
its space saving design. It also allows for reel change in a reduced
amount of time and is extremely operator friendly.
Each module carries 2 reels which are supported on a pivoting
arbor. With the reel in working position the arbor is locked in
place. The wire is paid-off through a series of rollers and pulleys
which are suitably sized, ensuring smooth and gentle treatment
of the wires/conductor. Tension control is obtained through a low
inertia multi-wrap dancer feeding back to the flyer brake. This
allows for easy adjustment also during operation and ensures constant
tension from full to empty reel.
The flyer brake/tension control is offered in different executions
(mechanical, electric and pneumatic) depending on customer and
product requirements.
The modules are available for 630 mm, 800 mm and
36" reel diameters
and can be utilized for multi wire (without separation), bare as
well as insulated conductors. Typical applications are for multi-wire,
single bare and insulated wire/conductors up to a diameter of 4
mm (0.16")
