QED’s Galfan^® Systems

QED is proud to be on the leading edge of Galfan^® equipment technology, having designed and commissioned several of the top wire Galfan^® lines operating in the world today. This hot-dip process uses our Ceramic Lined baths with either Immersion Burner or Top Heated combustion technologies. The process includes; heat-treating, pickling, hot-dipping and pad wiping zinc, pre-Galfan flux, Galfan^® bath and Nitrogen Wiping.

Our Galfan^® Furnace, heated with QED’s patented “Pressure Feedback Signal” control system, combine exceptionally stable performance with enhanced operations. As with all of our equipment, each bath is custom designed to suit your production requirements.

QED Wire is an approved Galfan® Equipment Supplier providing Galfan® Technology for the coating of steel wire. The Associate license was granted by the Galfan Technology Centre.

QED’s Vertical Wiping Systems offer the latest in wire wiping technology. Our modular concept permits a mixed production of commercial and heavy coatings to be run simultaneously. Vertical Pad modules, N₂ Wiping modules and even Gas-Gravel or Charcoal modules are quickly interchanged for maximum production flexibility. Operating a field of as many as 50 wires or more can be easily managed from the ergonomically positioned wiping modules. Standard features include; rugged tower construction, low impact primary quench, stairs, large diameter rolls, corrosion resistant tanks, level & temperature control and high efficiency air wipes.
