    Screw & Barrel Materials

  • Genca standard base material for screws is 4140 heat treated and stress relieved to  28-32 Rc.

  • OD of flites is either flame hardened or hard faced with Stellite #6, #12, Colmonoy #56, #83, Tungsten Carbide or Coltung.

  • Other hard facings can be provided as specified.

  • Other common base materials are Hastelloy,Stainless Steel, AISI D2, Inconel, CPM10V,  17-4PH, etc.
