AGC Chemicals Americas, Inc.-a wholly owned subsidiary of Asahi Glass Company of Japan-manufactures, markets and sells high performance fluoropolymer resins and compounds under the Fluon(r) trade name, the global fluoropolymer brand for the future. With over 50 years of experience, AGC Chemicals Americas, Inc. emerges as a major global leader serving the transportation, chemical process, resource recovery, electronics and life sciences industries. When it comes to melt processable fluoropolymer compounds, no company has more experience, more varieties or more technical expertise. Most important, that expertise is available to customers at every step of the process. The melt processable compounds are based upon copolymer resins: FEP, ETFE, PFA, PVDF, MFA and ECTFE. There are seven different product types (color concentrates, foam concentrates, cross linkables, conductives, glass-filled, lubricated and rotomolding), all manufactured to precise specifications. Standard products are free of cadmium, hexavalent chromium and lead (RoHS compliant). Applications and markets served are wire and cable insulation, aerospace, electronics and circuit boards, automotive, and injection molded parts. We also offer fine powder PTFE resins as coagulated dispersions that are highly suitable for wire and cable applications. These extrudable grades process into thin, flexible sections for wire insulation and tubing because of the wider temperature range they can tolerate. Additionally, we designed and manufacture specialized grades, each with a slightly different extrusion pressure, that provide high end extrusion performance by covering a wide reduction ratio range while maintaining optimal quality tolerance and high tensile strength and elongation. Applications for these products include hook-up wire, computer back-panel wire, electrical sleeving (\"spaghetti tubing\"), and wire covering and tubing.
