cylinder straight-feed in-line WIRE DRAWERS. The ASTec wire drawer
is currently designed for applications with speeds up to 75 feet
per minute. The distinct advantages of this unit are: quickest new

System operation utilizes this straight thru feed configuration
mounted on a low inertia slide. As the wire is pulled by the header
or other consuming machine, the drawer provides wire on an as needed
basis. New coil start-up is accomplished by either pre-pointing
or butt welding.
Our feed on demand capability requires no adjustment for varying
blank length requirements. When the consuming machine pulls the
wire, the slide moves with it. Once sufficient travel has occurred,
the drawing unit cycles to draw a full stroke length of wire thus
readying for the next cycle or set of cycles of wire feed. |
