FAQ for Optimizing Your Products with Polymer Crosslinking of Wire & Cable

Published: 10/05/2018 by Bill Crilley, E-BEAM Services Inc. in New Product Release

What is Crosslinking?

By crosslinking, polymer chains are linked together in a pattern called cross-links. With certain thermoplastics, the setting up of chemical links between molecular chains occurs. When extensive, crosslinking makes an infusible super molecule of all the chains. The phenomenon of crosslinking involves primary bonds between polymer chains creating a three-dimensional network.

Joachim Uhing KG GmbH & Co., internationally known for the rolling ring drive invented by the company founder, has expanded its product range. The Magnet Clip, a magnetic core moulded in plastic, was launched in May 2012. It adds to the series of tensioning and clamping elements Uhing developed for application on plain shafts.

Wire & Plastic Machinery Corp. is pleased to offer a complete steel wire rope manufacturing plant in Zadar, Croatia. All equipment is still installed, fully operational and available for immediate delivery.

Uhing launches the next-generation flange detecting system for rolling ring drives.

In 2004, Uhing added the non-contact FA flange detecting system for rolling ring drives to its product range. This economically priced solution that automatically corrects the reversal points of rolling ring traversing gears relieves the employees in production companies of manual adjustment work and thus reduces time requirements and costs.

The perfect cable stripper for field work!

Wire and cable machinery developed by Maschinenfabrik Niehoff covers nearly all operations which are necessary for the production of non-ferrous wires and special cables.

IBA extends its self-shielded crosslinking product family currently consisting of Easy-e-Beam® 550 keV and 800 keV with the new Easy-e-Beam® 1 MeV.
